Q: Should I powder coat my 09 tt's wheels? (Pics included)?
I just got a new 2009 Brilliant Red Audi TT. I want to powder coat my wheels black, or maybe even flat black, but I need some opinions... Do you think black wheels/rims look good on red vehicles???
Heres some pics of my car.

oh and keep in mind the windows are tinted now. (as they are not in the pictures)
Any input would be awesome. Thanks!
Thanks for the input guys..
I want to add that the center cap will be painted black and the audi emblem in the center will be painted or pinstriped red to match the car. Good idea or no? :)
And yeah the brake caliper thing would be sweet, ill have to look into that! :)
A: First off, Brilliant red is an awesome color!..
My color is Ocean Blue Pearl Effect..
*,..,*
There are many different color combinations that look good, with red + black being one of them...
What I say is that you research all of your body styling and wheel mods before you commit to doing anything with your factory wheels. I am into the A4/B7 and specifically bought last year because it was the end of production for that particular model. My friends and I have tricked out our rides with various choices, with mine being Stasis engine mods and an Oettinger body kit.
I ordered my ride straight from the factory and when it came time addressing my wheels, I decided not to touch my factory wheels. Right now the are hanging in my garage just for show.

(look at some of the wheel and body kits starting on page 96)
Overall, all of your ideas sound pretty good, I am sure all of them will look hot! On the brake caliper though, buy ones that are color red already, don't paint the ones you have. Trust me, it will be better.
Good luck!
Q: first car. options, comments, suggestions, opinions.?
so.
32 on ACT = car for under 30,000. (i can pay down to 30,000 if >)
(not rich, just frugal w/ everything else)
I've been reseaching hours upon hours, car after car, i know i want a coupe (with some exceptions). I want:
RWD
250+ HP
leather seats.
limited body roll.
great reliability.
V6/V8 engine.
>20 combined MPGs.
and overall a good car.
I've been looking at:
2010 Chevrolet Camaro 2SS (6.2L V8)
2008 Infiniti G35x Coupe/Sedan
2005 Acura NSX
2005 Lexus IS300 (i know <250 HP but i'd swap engine)
2006 Lexus IS350 (same deal ^^)
2000 Lexus SC400
2009 Audi TT quattro (i know only the 2005 offers V6)
The deal with my dad lasts throughtout high school, and i can begin taking the ACT next year. until then I drive his 2001 Nissan Maxima base model (whatever that is) with the only ugrape being the CD player.
-I will definitely be taking it up to my local track with some of my friends, two getting 2009 Acura TLs and one getting either his dad's V6 Honda Accord or an Acura RSX Type S.
-If i get the camaro, no mods will be applied because of its potential to become a classic. (I'll keep it forever)
comments suggestions and opinions are great. thanks.
(I'm taking a practice ACT now)
A: Get the Camaro: First it is American made making parts a lot easier and cheaper to get when working on it.
Second since Chevy is a popular brand you can get it worked on at any independent shop in the country. So if you are out in the middle of nowhere Nebraska on the weekend and break down you will still be able to find a shop to work on it.
Third a lot more accessories like wheels, etc available for it if you want to go that route.
Q: Which car should i pick???/?
which car is best for tuning (aftermarket) performance,, looks comfort quality..... wrx sti 2009????? rx-8 r3 2009???? 370z 2009????? ( do u recomend the audi tt 2009 or a4 coupe 2009 or even the small volvo c30 t5) do u guys mind putting in order from best to worst... and any other good cars u think u should suggest... go for it THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELPPP
oh yea forgot to add... wat about the mini john cooper works?
A: STI is best mix of quality, comfort, performance, and lots of aftermartket tuning.
Nest best is 370z. Not comfortable, but very fast and fun.
Next is Audi TT. The Turbo engine has lots of potential and optional AWD or you could get the V6 engine.
Next is Mazda RX-8. It is a great car IF you know a lot about rotary engines. otherwise, it will break down a lot.
Next is Mini Cooper. Handles like a GoKart. not Comfortable, Way too expensive to maintain and uses Premium gas.
Q: buying last years car model?
im looking at a leftover 08' audi tt in january 2009..what kind of discount could i expect? not sure how desperate a dealer would be to get this off the lot. msrp's and invoices online are shown for 09 models so i'm not even sure what to base my asking price on. they advertise 33,899 as their price. any tips?
A: 5-10% less than what you could negotiate a 2009 model.
