Q: What is the car that looks alot like an audi tt?
I saw a car I think it was a nissan but I cant remember well anyways the back of the body looked exactly like an audi tt and I just want to know what it is.
A: There are a few cars that have a similar profile. From Nissan it would be the 350Z ( or the new 370Z ) There is also the Infiniti G35 or G37 which is the Infiniti version of the same vehicle. Another possibility from Nissan would be the Altima coupe.

Q: Does the cambelt on my Audi TT need changing?
My TT is 7 years old, but has had a charmed life and only done 25,800 miles. Should a cambelt change be something I need to get done urgently? Or is it ok until it reaches a higher mileage?
A: The 1st guy is dead on except the 3,000 mile oil changes. That is absurd !!!! The Audi requires around 10,000 miles and uses Synthetic that is a well know fact that you can run any engine, about 15,000 miles on that oil. Do exactly word by word on what the Owner's Manual says on the Maintenance Schedule.
Audi has a huge oil sump and about 6 Qt of Synthetic oil is overservice on a 3,000 mile schedule. That is an unnecessary expense. It says, 10,000 mile or a Year whichever comes 1st.
I think he works for the local Jiffy Lube. :-))

I want to know what car to get and if i can afford a paint job.
A: If you mod it, then its not so much of a chick car. Paint jobs go from a crappy one at $500 to nice ones at $5000, depends what you want. You can probably get a decent one for 2500-3000.
If this helps, it was around 300 for just the hood on my A4 and it was a so so job.

A: temp sensor has earthed out giving you a false reading...its either faulty of the wire has beared and has toutched earth..

A: Putting bigger turbos on engines doesn't work.
Without having everything else done, the amount of turbo lag you will get will really "P" you off.

Q: Should I buy a audi tt with 100 miles on it?

A: Nice car but I would suggest a pre-purchase inspection prior to purchase. I would also check to see if the major service and timing belt was replaced yet. If not, those two things can set you back $2,000! If your state has smog checks, make sure it's smogged before you buy it too. Good luck.

A: You must be able to drive without an adult and past midnight. In other words, you need a senior drivers license. And be interested in buying one. You can't just walk in an drive one then say. No I don't want it; because they will try to sell you a differnt model.

A: The new 2.0L claims 36.7mpg, but they currently don't make a 1.8 so i assume you mean the old one?

Well I was playing need for speed undercover and the car that I drive is an Audi TT 3.2 Quatro. Well I totally love the way it looks on the game and so I am thinking about getting it in the future as my real car. But I just need info on it like how roomy it is and how it drives. Also can it only fit two people or is there a seat behind the driver and front passenger seat?
A: Both of the answers are good so far. If you cant do a compact two seater, than go with the same makes. VW, Audi, or Porsche are all a good choice. The TT is a nice car, but if your going with Audi, I would definitely try to get the AWD version of the car. They make FWD, but I wouldnt go that way. 3.2 is a good engine block design, as well as the smaller 1.8t or 2.0t. These are proven engines in the racing world.

Q: If I turn off the ESP on an Audi TT will I get better gas mileage on the highway?
The Electronic Stability Program (ESP) is great in bad weather, but on normal highway driving if I turn it off, would it provide a little better mileage??
A: No, it only engages when it detects you are slipping, it will have no effect on normal driving and therefore does not affect mileage at all.

The synchro between gears 5 and 6 is out on my 2000 Audi TT (not a quattro) at 51k miles. Everything else works fine. What kind of repair costs am I looking at from (a) dealer, or (b) certified independent mechanic?
A: I have no idea on the cost but the tranny will have to come out and be all tore apart and you will need all new synchronizers in the tranny, the synchronizers will be pretty cheap but the rest of the job will all be labor and time.
