Q: Many of my friends have fast cars (rx8, 2002 audi s4, rx7,supra turbo 1st gen., subaru wrx)?
If I buy a 2000 Jaguar XJR, will I be able to keep up with them? How fast is the jag compared to their sports cars?
A: THERE CARS ARE JUNK COMPARED TO THAT CAR
Q: 2002 audi b5 s4...good car?
100k miles, 6-speed
timing belt replaced at 99k miles.
looks really clean inside and out, at least in the pictures, and looks stock.
they're asking just above $10k
what is the tuning potential(and the cost of the tuning) of this car? how many more miles can it squeeze? and how would the gas mileage look like?
100k miles is alot, so i'm wondering what else it would need to keep rollin.
hey....Dsfhgh H, could u tell me what to look for on that website...?
and please explain your answers, don't just blab that it's not worth it
i've heard about turbos blowing out at 60k miles...discuss...and how much would that cost to fix up?
A: It's an attractive car but I would stay away from German cars if I was you, and I speak from experience. I have had a 2001 BMW M5, and knew friends who had Audi's. The Audi brand has always ranked lowest on JD Powers quality and reliability ratings out of all the German brands and that's not all. They are also extremely expensive to modify and ridiculous to maintain. About $100-150 for an oil change, $500 for a simple sensor. The same cold air intake that would cost $300 on a Cadillac CTS-V will cost about $1500 on any Audi in the same performance class.
Not exactly sure about gas mileage but I would expect 17 city, 24 highway. If you need to stay close to the $10K mark, there is only 1 car I can think of that combines performance and excitement with a very decent level of reliability and acceptable gas mileage as well: The car is the 02-03 Nissan Maxima SE with the rare optional 3.5 V6 and 6SPD manual. All of them have HID headlights and BOSE stereo and most have leather seats and optional Navigation as well. I would highly recommend checking this car out...it is very respectable and very easy to tune and maintain. Unlike the Audi, which you will want to tune, but you'll be surprised how fast repairs and maintenance costs add up when you go German and trust me, the AWD and luxury is not worth it. Nobody can tell one Audi from another anyway and your budget will thank you. I would keep Japanese cars at the top of the list, and American cars in second place, while the European marques completely off the list. I wish you luck with your search!
Q: mileage on an audi S4?
I'm looking at buying a 2002 Audi S4, pre-owned and in pretty much perfect condition, and it already has 122,000 miles on it. I was just wondering how many miles most Audi engines have on them before things go wrong?
A: They will last for almost ever if you change the timing belt on time!!! ALso, it is very important that you use only engine oil that meets specification 502/505. Anything else reduces power and engine life. I have personally seen Audi Turbo cars with more than 300,000 trouble free miles. Count on spending around $1500-2000 for timing belt, water pump, and pulley changes every 105,000 miles.
Q: Difference among 2000-2002 Audi S4s?
hi im in the market of buying a b5 audi s4 (2000-2002) but ive been hearing that there are quit a few differences among the 2000-2002 models...i was wondering if anyone could help me out with what the difference are and what overall year is the best...thanks
A: There arent going to be any major differences, just small trim options and such. The only thing I can really think of is that the 2000 was offerend in the Avant here in the US. As far as picking a year the only plus is that newer ones fill usually have lower miles.
Q: Rate there cars from 1-10 (best combo of performance, comfort, driving excitement, coolness, sound)?
