Q: How does a Porsche 928 S4 compare to a Misubishi 3000gt VR4 and an Audi S4?
Performance, fun to drive, sound, coolness, head turning?

A: It's pretty hard to compare the Porsche to the other two, it's a completely different beast. The 928 dates back to the mid-late 1970s, was a radical new direction for Porsche and was the car actually intended to replace the 911. It was a highly advanced car for the time and so far ahead of anything else, with it's front mounted V8 and transmission in the back connected via a transaxle, a design which would soon pave the way for all modern sports car layouts. Hell, Chevy was first in line to say the design would never work, yet touted it as "all new" when they finally put it in the C5 Corvette 20 years later! The 928 is a GT car in every sense of the world; fast, comfortable, refined and sexy. It's RWD, not AWD. Wonderful cars, i've often considered selling my 944 for one, but they're extreme costly to keep up and it's not uncommon for most shark owners to spend $2-3g a year in maintenance costs. Performance wise, a late model 928 GTS would suck the paint off a S4 or 3000GT. Their 0-60 times are all pretty similar, but, that's about where it ends. The most powerful of the 928 lineup would top out about 175, true bahn stormers. Coolness, sound, head turning and fun to drive? C'mon, you already knew that went to the 928 hands down! ;)

Q: How do I check brake fluid level on a 2005 Audi S4?
There's no dipstick under the cap, just a rubberized filter. Any ideas?

A: try googleing it. or how bout calling the dealer?

Q: Is a 2000 or 2001 audi s4 a good idea to buy as a first car?
If I can get one for near ten grand with eighty to one hundred thounsand miles Alright for those said not a good deal what is? how about eight thousand for the same militage?

A: Its a good deal... people who say its not, don't know german cars... S4 is pretty powerful, but audi's kinda have reliability problems... many sensors, overheating problems... i personally like bmw's more... but from experience, i would say to get it, if u like it... just gotta be aware of a couple of things... do a an inspection on the car before u buy. go to a car repair shop that specializes in Euro cars, (Audi, BMW, mercedes).. they will ispect it for like 60 bucks, and tell you EVERYTHING that is wrong with it. its worth it because dealers who sell german cars, normally try to hide many things... like i said, very complex computers and sensors and Oxygen sensors... too many to list... gotta be safe than sorry but if it passes the inspection perfectly go for it

Q: Which is a better car, and a better car to modify the Lexus Is300 or the Audi S4?
Me and ma mom both need a car so its either of the two, and as a car fantatic i would also be modifying it so can you help me decide?

A: S4 by far

Q: I need some spot, or on and off seem welding done to a B5 Audi S4.?
I am currently building an Audi s4 with expectations of 650 HP and I need a stiffer Chassis for the job. I do not want to do the work myself. I can build engines and do tuning all day long but body and chassis is out of my expertise and I don't want to get a roll cage since it will be a daily driven street car for carrying the family around. Q: Best brake pads that fits a 2000 Audi S4?
Looking for some good brake pads to replace my stock. Wondering if there are good aftermarket pads without breaking the bank. Before I consider OEM, anyone have any recommendations? I don't track my car but do some occasional spirited driving so I don't need highly aggressive pads, but some that won't fade after some hard braking. Low dust and NO squealing are important. Thanks.

A: Hawk Performance Ceramic makes some good pads. I just replaced on my Mom's '99 BMW 323. Compared to stock, less dust and no squeal. The Tire Rack made the recommendation.

Q: Who can tell me about the 2000 AUDI S4?
Is it a nice ride? Is it worth owning? Manual should be good for this car.

Q: i have a 2008 audi s4 (b7) andbought a new performance air-filter to replace the OEM filter.?
I have inspected the engine compartment and cannot locate the filter box, can anyone offer any assistence or help?

A: The large tunnel shaped plastic on the left hand side of the compartment is the air supply. It will come apart without any tools. It just pops together. If you disassemble it you will locate the filter box below it. It screws together and should take you a total of about a half hour. Watch out though there is a screen inside of the tunnel in between two of the pieces. Make sure that you do not lose that because it traps large pieces of debris from getting down into the new filter. You don't want that to happen because the new filters holes are larger and you get crap inside of the engine. This make that 4.2 V-8 into a heavy paperweight.

Q: What do you think of the Audi S4?
I currently have an Acura '04 TL, thinking of trading it in for a S4.... What do you think of the S4?

A: If you got the money and the patience I'd suggest wait till the 2009 S4 comes out. Why? Because the thing will come with a V6 Turbocharged Engine that will output almost as much HP as the 340 HP the current V8 S4 puts out. You can also mod the engine (add turbos etc) while 2007 and 2008 S4 won't allow you too many options as its a V8. However, you won't get that lusty V8 growl =/ Here's the pros for the S4: Classy, luxurious, VERY fast, definitley a head turner and unique (Not many S4s compared to the Bimmers) Cons: Expensive to maintain, especially when you're getting up to the 60,000 miles area. If you want, think of the Audi S4 as a lion, ferocious and classy, while the BMW and Mercedes as a Leopard/Cheetah they're all about performance and speed but no luxury. I'd like to think of the Audi S4 as the perfect balance between safety, luxury and performance. The interior is THE best among the 3 German auto manufacturers and the safety is the best. (The Audi S4 and A4 received from the government the highest safety rating in crash tests among luxury/performance sedans) While the performance is not as good as say the new M3, the car is still fast enough for tracking and average day work. So in short, if you have the money, I would suggest for you to get the Audi S4. You'll be really amazed with it, and you'll never get tired of it... I know I'm not :)

Q: Are there any recalls for an Audi S4?
I want an S4 but I want to know reliability of the car before I purchase it.

A: if you go to cars.com and go to reveiw section and scroll down to see every bit of information that you'll need to know even the recalls. Also before you buy the car run the VIN number through Carfax to see every thing that car has been through, from wrecks to times that it went through emissions.

Q: In the game Need For Speed Pro Street, Audi S4 or the new Mitsubishi Evo, which ones is better to buy first.?
Cars, Need for speed, Game, Play Station 2

A: audi s4 cuz its faster then mitsubishi.

Q: Whats the fastest audi s4 model?
is the v6 twin turbo or the new v8 engine faster? I have read that the 0-60 is 5.8 and then i have seen other audi s4 0-60 times in the 4.8 range? Anyone know what year is what? thanks

A: I would go with the 2.7. It was a much more balanced car, with quite a better suspension. I sold many. Some of my clients, who had the 2.7, who ordered the V8 were so unhappy they got rid of them and bought used 2.7s. The 2.7s are very modifiable and can be made to be VERY quick. Several years ago, European car had a article, the "S4 Challenge". Tuners from all over the world competed. Find it. There isn't much you can do to mod a V8. Turbocharged cars are easily tunable. In stock form, the 2.7, although not as fast as a V8 in a straight line, is MUCH more fun to drive, and much easier to go fast around the track.

Q: is the audi s4 cabriolet a good car?
how is it in comparison to other convertibles?

A: i had this car for a few days as a courtesy and was a very nice drive with the new style DPG gearbox. handling is standard and driving fun is rather good. all in all a very good car - i would recommend audi to anyone who wishes to buy a new car with a reasonable budget.

Q: Can you convert a 02-04 Audi s4 to rear wheel drive?
Is this possible? How would it be done? How much would it cost? Thanks in advance. Reason im asking because i know that the weak link with any awd car is the transmission. Too much stress for the gears. So im looking for a shortcut in my build.

A: no.
